Vacation Bible School Guide 2026

Last Updated: May 26, 2026By

Summer fills up fast — and if you’re like most moms, finding things that keep the kids busy, engaged, and off screens without blowing the budget is always a win. That’s why VBS season is such a favorite for so many Trussville-area families.

Vacation Bible School has been a longtime summer tradition, giving kids a chance to have fun, make new friends, enjoy games, crafts, music, and meaningful encouragement in a safe, welcoming environment. Most local programs are free or low-cost, typically run for a few hours a day over several days, and many are open to the entire community.

As we head into summer and start filling those calendars, we’ve rounded up Trussville-area VBS options to help make planning a little easier. Whether you’re looking for a familiar favorite or hoping to try somewhere new, there are plenty of great local opportunities for your family this summer.

And shout out to Trussville-mama, Kim Martin, for doing the heavy-lifting here and compiling this list.
