Meet our Founder & Editor

Elizabeth Patton is the founder and editor of Trussville Moms. Born in eastern North Carolina, she eventually found her way to Birmingham in 2018 before putting down roots in Trussville the following year.

A former Capitol Hill staffer turned journalist in Washington, D.C., Elizabeth now works in healthcare communications. She launched Trussville Moms with one simple goal: to help this growing community feel a little more connected by creating a space where local moms can stay informed, supported, and inspired—while also celebrating the people, places, and businesses that make Trussville such a special place to call home.

She and her husband, Josh, are raising two energetic boys. She knows motherhood doesn’t always follow the path you expect, and after years navigating infertility, IUI, INVOcell, IVF, pregnancy loss, and all the highs and lows in between, she has a special place in her heart for anyone walking that road. If that’s your story too, know you’re never alone.

When she’s not writing, you’ll probably find her at True40, keeping up with all things Bravo, discovering a new local favorite, or chasing after her boys, who make every day an adventure. She believes the best communities are built when neighbors share what they know, cheer each other on, and show up for one another — and that’s exactly what Trussville Moms is all about.
