Meet Titan, This Year’s Trussville Witches Ride Beneficiary

Last Updated: October 3, 2026By

Before his first birthday, Titan had already faced an extraordinary medical journey.

As an infant, Titan experienced severe jaundice and difficulty gaining weight. His family soon learned that he had biliary atresia, a rare and life-threatening condition that affects the bile ducts and prevents bile from properly flowing from the liver.

At just 4 weeks old, Titan underwent a Kasai procedure at Children’s of Alabama in hopes of restoring liver function. Unfortunately, despite every effort, the procedure was unsuccessful.

The months that followed brought hospital stays, testing, medications and continued uncertainty for Titan and his family. Then, at just 8 months old, Titan received a life-saving liver transplant at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.

The transplant gave Titan a new chance at life, but his medical journey continues.

Today, Titan requires ongoing medical care, medications and frequent follow-up appointments and treatment in Nashville. During many of those trips, Titan and his family stay at the Ronald McDonald House, which provides a place for families to stay close to their children while receiving care away from home.
